Ariel and her mother, Crystal Workman always shared a toxic relationship that shouldn’t be between any parent and their child. In 2014, Ariel filed a restraining order against her own mother when the situation rolled out of her hands. Crystal had upon herself accusations of physically and verbally abusing her own child. During the fiery court battle, Ariel’s lawyer claimed that she has been threatened to be fired from her show Modern Family a few times due to her mother’s over interference. Ariel revealed that her mom wouldn’t let her have female friends as she considered all females competition. She also claimed that she had been sexualized in her childhood by her mother.
