16 women in Tech reveal the sexism they experienced
Sexism is thriving in workplaces these days and as sad as it is, women encounter some kind of discrimination at the workplace every single day for just being women. It happens either openly or very discreetly through various ways, whether through unequal payment compared to the men, being left out when it comes to promotions, interruptions in meetings or just lack of inclusion altogether.
Recently, women in tech have been speaking out about their experiences in as far as sexism is concerned in a bid to try and make things better for women working in this male-dominated industry and here is what some of them had to say.

Savannah says, at the company she worked in, women were to stay back and pick up the slack for the countless vacations the men went on in a year. They were expected to stay back at the office with not so much as incentives, promotions or even a pay raise while these trips the men went on would be all expenses paid. A few of her female colleagues sued the company for workplace discrimination, underpayment being the issue and won the case proving that what the company was doing was indeed wrong. Even the minority men did not have the backs of the women and only furthered themselves from the issue.
