18. Use as a soup thickener

There aren’t very many runny soups that taste good. Even chicken noodle soup can be infinitely better with a bit of cream. But if you don’t have any and don’t feel like running to the store to get a carton, then the next best thing would be to use spoiled milk. It’s a thickening agent that also adds a bit of tanginess to vegetable-based soup. A little can go a long way, so don’t go pouring more than a couple of tablespoons per bowl.
