This Seven Mile bridge is actually the second one to be put up in this spot. There was need to decommission the one that previously existed.This was because of its positioning. It was right in the water and made it a problem for the boats to pass by. Looking at it might not exactly be daunting, but imagine what it would be like driving across it during the many hurricanes that happen in Florida.
