This movie can be kind of forgiven for committing such a mistake like this. My Girl is a movie that stars Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin and is set during the year 1972. There is this scene right here where we can see Macaulay giving Anna a mood ring. However, by just about three years they got it wrong because while mood rings were a fever during the 70s, they were only launched in 1975, so there was no way that he could have one.
