The 10-year challenge is the newest trending challenge that has everyone trying to find pictures of them from 10 years ago and post them in social media to compare to how they looked then and where they doing in that time. However, this trend isn’t only for ordinary people, celebrities from all over the world have participated in this trend, so it was only a matter of time before we start doing one for the most famous royal family in the world, the British royal family.

While we may have cringed and laughed at our pictures due to our weird hairstyles of fashion sense 10 years ago, I think it’s time to give the same treatment to the Royals and see how much time has changed them over the course of a decade.

Let’s start with the most famous of the royal family, Queen Elizabeth. Her Majesty has been sitting on the throne for almost 67 years. To be more exact, 6 February 1952 was the date when she took the throne and in the process, she has become the longest reigning monarch in the British Isles. The queen was always a beloved figure and has become an icon across the globe. She has seen immense changes throughout her reign and it is safe to say that she has met with more prominent figures than anyone that is alive today. On this picture that was taken in 2009, we can see Queen Elizabeth meeting the former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama.

Almost a decade later we can see that the Queen is still in great shape despite being 92 years old. Her agenda remains busy throughout the year and her impeccable sense of style hasn’t changed one bit throughout the last decade. On this picture, we can see Queen Elizabeth meeting with IMO Secretary-General Kitack Lim.

Charles, Prince of Wales has been filling the tabloids back in the day with details of his love life. Born in 1948 he was destined to be one of the most famous bachelors when he was young and it was expected that his 20s were filled with adventures. The 1970s were a wild time for him and in 1977 Prince Charles met Diana Spencer, who would later become his wife and thus earning the title of Princess of Wales. They became one of the most famous couples in the world and the entire world was first shocked when she decided to divorce Prince Charles and in 1997 she was tragically killed in a car crash. Prince Charles’ life was full of ups and down so far. In this picture, we can see him meeting with the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama in Normandy, where the 65th anniversary of D-Day was being held.

Prince William is the Duke of Cambridge. He is next in line after his father for the succession of the throne. He was always the golden boy of the family and always well liked by the media and the people. On this picture, he is seen at the Ham Polo Club players presentation. Life was much simpler for him back then and he also had more hair.
