Although Freddie didn’t need to apply for a building permit, he and Katie did so anyway. Why? For peace of mind. When his mobile home was done, he wanted to ensure that the government couldn’t punish him with technicalities and other nuisances that would turn his dream into a nightmare. Plus, when he and Katie eventually outgrow living in a trailer, they could rent the unit out as a holiday apartment. Good thinking, Freddie.
