Elizabeth along with her parents was touring the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. Philip, who was a student there at the time was their only guide as the other two cadets were infected with mumps. It was love at first sight for naive Elizabeth who was only a lovestruck teenager then. For Philip, it was just a dispensable distraction at the time.
