We humans have it easy when we try to greet each other, but what about cats? Have you ever noticed your kitty trying to crane their necks to touch your face, hands or even legs, with a bumping motion? They are saying „Hi, friend!” to you.
Aside from a warm greeting, you can also take this as a compliment. Your kitty is expressing trust and friendliness towards you by marking you with their facial pheromones, furthering the bond between you. If you want to sound fancy, „bunting” is the proper term for this action.
