Cats have a well-known talent of landing on their feet from great heights if the need arises. This is caused by their ability to use their flexible backbones while falling towards the ground.
Their sleek, light body and thick fur help their overall balance, aided by their whiskers, too. They can successfully land on all fours by the time they reach six weeks of age. Keep in mind that they need a minimum distance in terms of falling to perfectly twist around in the air.
