4. The Horrible Pilot

In the 1994 book Back to the Batcave written by Adam West, he revealed that the pilot scored a lackluster test screen rating in the 40s (the average at the time was in the 60s). The show’s producers would make quick adjustments, adding a laugh track and modifying the script, but this did nothing to change their score. They then decided to throw in a couple of special effects into the mix and call it a day.
