13. Clean up as you pack
It is advisable to clean up in sections as you pack your stuff to avoid having to spend more time at your old place cleaning after everything has been moved.
While you move all your packed belongings to one section of your old house, keep the spaces that remain empty clean so that when the day comes, you will only need to use a few minutes to clean through the room where everything was stored. It saves you a lot of time and energy as well.
