3. A Scary Encounter

In the summer of 2017, Nan, accompanied by a vessel of fellow researchers, had taken to the sea for a routine swim. She was being watched carefully by the crew so, at least in Nan’s mind, perhaps nothing out of the ordinary would take place. How wrong she would be.
