1. Summer 1975

The journey began in the summer of 1975 when Nicholas Nixon paid a visit to his wife’s family. He urged the sisters to pose for a photograph and was sceptical if they would oblige. Heather, Mimi, Laurie and BeBe all gathered in the same order as they did during four decades.
