2. Horsey Horseless

It’s actually unfair to include any of the earliest car models on our list since they were all actually pretty bad, both in design and in mileage. However, the Horsey Horseless takes the cake. This “car,” made in 1899, was inspired by horse-drawn carriages. What the mad scientists decided to do was plaster a fake horse head up front to give riders the vibe of being pulled by horses. This was done to ease the transition from horse-drawn carriages to cars, and it actually helped a bit.
