4. Hummer H2

Back in the early 2000s, everybody wanted to own a Hummer H2. Other than the cost of the vehicle, its poor fuel economy was what put the H2 in an early grave. Inspired by military Humvees, this bulky vehicle had poor mileage. Worst of all was the time it was sold: right in the middle of an energy crisis. It didn’t take long for GM executives to shelve the H2 and focus their efforts on a more fuel-conscious line of cars.
