Poodles are originally from Germany. They are also very popular and this breed comes in three size varieties: standard, miniature as well as toy and when it comes to the family setting, the standard variety is best. This is because they are smart and very gentle even with children. They are great for people who have allergies because they do not shed much compared to the other breeds of dogs.
When it comes to working, they are very efficient, making them highly preferred for hunting in addition to the fact that they also have great instincts and that they are very easy to train. Their training needs to be very consistent and they need regular exercise so as to stay well behaved.
They have waterproof coats and in terms of movement and appearance, they are very graceful. They do not like harsh tones or to be kept outside and often suffer from separation anxiety when left alone.
