11. Wirehaired Pointing Griffon
Wirehaired Pointing Griffon or Korthals Griffon was developed for hunting. As a hunter, he is intelligent and follows his instincts. Griffons are not aggressive but not welcoming to strangers. They are great watchdogs, and always protect their family and property. Be aware that this breed needs an hour or two of exercise each day so fits active owners better. His place should be spacious, so apartment life is not appropriate for him. Wirehaired Pointing Griffon puppies should be trained early, even at 8 weeks old. At this early stage, they are capable to learn everything you can teach them.
