6. USS Ticonderoga

This combatant vessel was the first to come equipped with the AEGIS combat system. Its purpose is to trace and engage multiple air targets simultaneously. The ‘Tico’ was decommissioned in 2004 and scheduled to be disposed of, but instead, it rests peacefully in at the inactive shipyard facility in Philadelphia.
