Importance of Cruelty-Free Makeup

More and more people recognize the importance of using organic, bio or chemical-free cosmetics. But there is another important factor that we may not pay enough attention when buying cosmetics and makeups:  whether the product was tested on animals or not.

Thanks to the persistent work of animal rights activists and organizations the animal protection awareness is constantly growing, moreover cosmetic animal testing is now banned in the European Union, India, Israel, and Norway.

Good news for the ladies that the range of cruelty-free make-up products is expanding. On average, they are a little more expensive than the other ones, but it’s worth paying for that price. Why?

For the benefit of the animals

Testing any kind of products on animals is a cruel and selfish practice of humanity. According to Human Society International Organization, approximately 100,000-200,000 animals suffer and die just for cosmetics every year around the world. There are a lot of alternatives available to test products, without subject animals to cruel practices to prove that the products are hypoallergenic and safe to use.
