Pam Grier who has a reputation as the Blaxploitation movie queen has basked in success while playing major roles in the genre especially in the 1970s. She played lead roles in several movies in the genre some of which are The Big Bird Cage, Coffy and Foxy Brown. Quentin Tarantino seems to have introduced her to a totally different audience when he cast Pam as Jackie in Jackie Brown, a film he made in 1997 as a tribute to Blaxploitation. Grier also has experience in Television with the role she played in The L Word, a Showtime series.
